Personal Info
Dr. Varsha Nanan is a psychiatrist and lecturer with experience in clinical psychiatry, teaching, and public health advocacy. She began her medical career in anesthetics before transitioning to psychiatry in 2018, completing her Doctor of Medicine (DM) in Psychiatry in 2023. She currently serves as a lecturer and as an consultant psychiatrist within the Regional Health Authority.
Outside of work, she dedicates time to health promotion, from radio and TV programs to school talks and community workshops because she believes mental health awareness should reach everyone, not just those in clinics. At the heart of everything she does is a desire to empower people, to reduce stigma, to encourage open conversations, and to ensure mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health.
